Away from your home, Timila Homestay gets you into a home where you shall not only get a chance to have an intimate, firsthand experience of Newari cuisine and lifestyle; but also an opportunity to become privy to the genuine hospitality accorded to the family guests. This certainly is a privilege that cannot normally be experienced in institutional settings.
On top of this all, the Timila residence, having all the amenities available in modern residential buildings, offers outstanding scenery of hills and mountain ranges that line up the horizon in the north. You only need to see through the windows to watch magnificent sunrises and cascading hills. The town of Banepa is also teeming with temples and a number of festivals and celebrations that represent mainly Newari, as well as the mixed culture of Nepal.
Mr. Bijuli Prasad Timila, along with the other members in this family of total four persons, is ready to welcome you into his house. The Timilas have been living in Banepa for two generations after migrating from their ancestral hometown in Bhaktapur.
All the four members in the family speak fluent English. They are excited about hosting visitors from different parts of the world. Philip Timila, the son of Bijuli Prasad Timila, will be happy to be your guide for sightseeing trips.
