The Shanker Hotel was converted from a palace to a business class hotel in 1964 after an extensive renovation of its interiors so as to adopt contemporary styles. - Depending upon availability of rooms for incoming guests, up to 3 hours of extra time may be allowed upon request.
- Normally, check-outs delayed upto 6 hours will encounter 50% of 1 night's charges. Any longer delay is subject to a surcharge equivalent to 1 night's charges.

- A maximum of 2 children per room can share rooms/beds with their parents.
