
The Suburban Hike along the rim of Kathmandu valley is especially designed for tourists who are on a short visit to Nepal and yearn for an easy yet a memorable getaway from their monotonous routines. In just 2 nights and 3 days, they can capture some of the best natural and historical sites in their memories and cameras. Likewise, they will have a chance to interact with the local people, who differ in ethnicity, culture, religion and profession, but have one particular tradition in common - cordial and respectful reception of guests.

Itinerary
Day 1: Kathmandu - Sundarijal - Chisapani
Your journey begins from Kathmandu with a short (approx. 1 hour) drive to Sundarijal, a popular picnic spot rich in greenery and water bodies. After hiking from this point for about 5 hours through Shivapuri Watershed and Wildlife Reserve, you will arrive at the next destination, Chisapani (2300m).
Day 2: Chisapani - Nagarkot
Yet another refreshing hike through a forest (3 hrs) and then a village (3-4 hrs) will take you to Nagarkot (2,175m), a hill-station popular equally among domestic and international tourists for the eye-catching views it offers. You will love to see the sunset, have a delicious dinner and a good night's rest in your hotel room.
Day 3: Nagarkot - Changunarayan - Bhaktapur - Kathmandu
Wake up early in the morning to see the spell-binding sunrise and mountain range right on the horizon, if permitted by the weather. Make sure to carry your camera along or you will regret later to have missed so much. Your final hike routes through Changunaryan and Bhaktapur, both recognised as UNESCO's World Heritage sites, where well preserved medieval architecutre and lifestyle of Newari ethnicity can be observed. Finally, you will be driven back to Kathmandu, where the trip ends.
Cancellation policy
- All cancellations are subject to a 25% cancellation charge and must be made at least 48 hours prior to the commencement of the hike in order to avoid a 100% No-show penalty.
Children Policy
- Children can participate only if accompanied by their parents.
- Children below 5 years of age are allowed to join the tour free of cost (except charges of permits/tickets).
- Children aged from 5 to 12 years will be charged at 50% of the normal (adult) rates.
- Childcare is the sole responsibility of the accompanying parents.

- Jackets (during winter)
- Raincoats (during monsoon)
