Established in 1967, Kathmandu Guest House (KGH) is a celebrated hotel located in downtown Thamel. It was converted from what used to be a palace during the Rana regime to a hotel by its visionary founder and chairman, Karna Sakya.

It is one of the most popular hotels in Kathmandu having served an impressive array of guests including famous mountaineers, writers, researchers and international celebrities.
