Island Peak Climbing

Duration: 20 day(s) - Location: Khumbu Region

Every skill needs a proving ground and there is no better choice than the Himalayas when it comes to mountaineering. Chosen by hundreds of climbers every year, Island Peak touches the sky at 6189m, challenges wannabes and rewards those who succeed with incredible views of higher peaks further north.

The journey begins with a short domestic flight to Lukla and continues to unfold a series of exciting discoveries till its end. You will follow the same trail that leads to Mt. Everest, and as far as its base camp. The itinerary has been carefully designed, leaving enough room for your acclimatisation to the temperature and altitude, both being extreme. The intermediate destinations include Namche Bazar (one of the oldest Sherpa settlements), Gorak Shep, Kalapathhar (5,545m) and Everest Base Camp.
