Hotel Tradition is situated on a quiet street called Saatghumti of Thamel, on the way to Pakanajol. It's located within easy access to groceries, banks, restaurants, etc. Driving from the airport takes about 15-25 minutes depending on road conditions.

Getting there
If you arrive at Kathmandu Airport, drive to Thamel Chowk viaTinkune, Maitighar, Bhadrakali and Kantipath. Once you are in Thamel area, watch out for 'No-Entry' signs and 'One-Way' streets in order to be in the right lane.
From Thamel Chowk, drive towards Saatghumti, which is on the way to Kaaldhara and Pakanajol. The Saathghumti street bends at 7 different points. Hotel Tradition is located on the fourth one.
If you are visiting Kathmandu for the first time and/or want the most convenient way to get to your hotel room, simply mention it when booking. The hotel will make an arrangement for your transfer for a nominal charge.
If you are of the independent type, you can take a taxi at the airport and provide the above directions. The fare is normally between 4-7 US Dollars.
Make sure you take a printout of the detailed map given in the "Additional Map" below so as to locate the hotel easily and/or to give directions to the driver.
