Tsering Dolkar Lama
Of Tibetan decent but born and raised in Nepal, Tsering has managed the family owned Hotel Tibet in Kathmandu for the last twelve years. Built by her father and tastefully decorated by her mother with beautiful Tibetan rugs and handicrafts, the Hotel Tibet has a happy and tranquil atmosphere for the many guests that continue to return every year.
Although Tsering is the Managing Director, she leaves the day to day running of the hotel to her trusted team, preferring instead to spend time with her guests, making sure they are comfortable and feel totally at home. "I have the best job in the world as I simply love people and making them feel like they are part of our family when they stay with us," says Tsering.
The Hotel Tibet provides financial support to several orphanages in Kathmandu to ensure displaced and orphaned children are cared for and are provided with the basic necessities of life.

Meet Rajendra Prasad Sapkota and Outdoor Himalayan Treks, your local connection in Kathmandu. Starting as a young porter, Rajendra has all the local knowledge that will make your trip to Kathmandu life changing. With us, visitors experience remote villages, meet local people, and gain insight into our culture. We support local villages, and have even built a local orphanage to house and educate displaced, and often outcast, children. We hope to bring you a journey that will be enriching, but will also help those in need in Kathmandu.
