Shyam KC used to work as a manager in a boutique hotel in Kathmandu before he started Hotel Marsyangdi Mandala. He is a wonderful host and who is now dedicating all his time and energy into Hotel Marsyangdi. He is an amicable host, always deriving pleasure from being around his guests. Some may call it his business, but really it is his passion.

Having been an excellent amateur footballer, Shyam still tries not to miss any sporting events in town. At present he is an active member of the Association for Tourism.
