Mohan Lal Sherchan and his family have run the Hotel Lucky Star since taking it over in 2002. Formerly in real estate, Mohan Lal felt that running a hotel still required the people skills and customer service needed in his former occupation and has put these to good use at the Lucky Star. He enjoys connecting guests with his insights into Nepal.
Mohan Lal ‘s guests "are mainly independent travellers from Israel, the UK, Europe and the US," and he wants "to help them to understand the culture and wonders of my country and in so doing, encourage them to visit us again."

Starting as a young porter, Rajendra has all the local knowledge that will make your trip to Kathmandu life changing. With us, visitors experience remote villages, meet local people, and gain insight into our culture. We support local villages, and have even built a local orphanage to house and educate displaced, and often outcast, children. We hope to bring you a journey that will be enriching, but will also help those in need in Kathmandu.
