Himalayan Shangri-La Village Resort lies at an altitude of 1770 m in a beautiful hilly area about 30 km east of mainland Kathmandu. Driving to the resort from Kathmandu takes about an hour under normal traffic. From Dhulikhel city, it is at a walking distance of half an hour.

Getting there
From Kathmandu city or airport:
Take the Ring-Road and drive southwards to Koteshwor where the road intersects Ariniko Highway. Take the highway and drive past Thimi, Bhaktapur and Banepa for nearly 22 km to reach Dhulikhel city. From there, you will have to follow the direction boards that will guide you to the peaceful location of the resort.
Local taxis generally charge between 30 and 40 US Dollars for a one-way trip to/from the resort.
If you want a pre-arranged and a more convenient transfer, just let the resort know when you book your room. Send your arrival details a week before arriving and the resort will arrange private vehicle service to drive you to/from your origin. The cost details will be provided via e-mail.
