Himalayan International Yoga Academy and Research Centre is located at Ichangu, a north-western part of Kathmandu. It is about 15 km from the airport (via Ring-Road) and 10 kames from Thamel.

From TI Airport: Drive toward Swoyambhu. The route is pretty simple, just drive along the Ring-Road via Gaushala, Chabhil, Maharajgunj and Balaju - don't leave the Ring-Road. At Swoyambhu, locate the place where there are three big statues. From that point, a road goes north-west, leaving the Ring-Road and towards Ichangu. Drive about 1.8 km along that road and you will reach Himalayan International Yoga Academy and Research Centre
From Thamel: Drive to Balaju (Ring Road) and then southwards to Swoyambhu. Follow the instructions for the rest of the route as given above.
HIYA will arrange a paid pick up service upon request. The cost for a one-way transfer from/to the airport is USD 10 per person and from/to Thamel it is USD 5. Be sure to provide your arrival details a week before arriving.
