Choice Hotel is owned and managed by Ghanendra Shrestha. Ever since the establishment of his hotel (originally known as Tibet Holiday Inn) in 1998, Ghanendra has successfully played the role of a courteous host. He is greatly inspired by Tibetan culture and arts; he likes to collect Tibetan paintings and handicraft items.

He was elected as the president of Students' Union during his high school days. Later, he graduated with a Masters Degree in Law. He is an executive member of Hotel Association of Nepal (HAN) and also a member of HR Lawyers' Forum.
